Gochujang Sticky Noodles Sweet Heat, Korean Style

Gochujang Sticky Noodles Sweet Heat, Korean Style

If you love Korean flavours, this recipe brings a perfect mix of sweet heat, umami and sticky goodness.

Step-by-Step Recipe

1. Boil the noodles

Start by boiling water in a deep pot and add the noodles from the pack. Let them cook until soft yet firm, stirring once or twice to avoid sticking. Strain well and rinse lightly with cold water to stop overcooking. Keep aside.

2. Build the sauce

Heat a wok on medium–high flame and pour in the included chilli oil. As it warms, it releases a rich aroma of garlic, ginger and chilli. Add the Gochujang sauce and stir gently. Let it simmer for a few seconds to intensify the sweet–spicy Korean flavour.

3. Toss it well

Add the boiled noodles into the wok. Toss using tongs or chopsticks on high flame. Make sure every strand is coated with the sticky Gochujang sauce. Keep tossing until it turns glossy and clings beautifully to the noodles.

4. Finish with sesame

Sprinkle the roasted sesame seeds from the packet. They add a nutty crunch and balance the sweet heat perfectly.

5. Upgrade it

Make it a fuller bowl by adding a fried egg, sautéed veggies, or cooked chicken. For extra freshness, garnish with spring onions.

Your bowl is ready!

A sticky, spicy and umami-packed noodle bowl that feels like pure Korean food comfort.
